Programme Description:

This one-year Animal Care course with Grooming is tailored to give a real taste of how it feels to work as a groomer in the industry. While learning all the tricks of the grooming trade this full time one year animal care course not only covers grooming but also lets you sample all aspects within the animal care industry.

Progression:

  • Direct entry to the Grooming industry, opening a salon / progression on to specialised grooming. Working with animals in a variety of settings including veterinary clinics, boarding kennels, animal welfare organisations, canine training and pet shops
  • Opportunities to progress to further and higher education in various fields including applied biology, general science, wildlife biology and veterinary nursing.

Additional Activities:

Additional short courses may be offered as well as presentations by guest speakers and educational trips to zoos, animal and bird sanctuaries and canine first aid.
