Programme Description:

This one-year full-time programme introduces students to the world of Graphic Design.  Based on a solid foundation of fine art, students will be afforded the opportunity to develop problem-solving skills, generate ideas and develop them creatively, combining drawing skills and colouring to produce a variety of graphic design projects.

Minimum Entry Requirements:

  • Successful completion of an interview.
  • Applicants will be asked to present a portfolio of work samples at interview.
  • Mature applicants are welcome.

Progression:

  • A range of programmes in visual arts and graphics design at further and higher level institutions to pursue web design, exhibition and event display and creative illustration.
  • Progression to the Fine Art Level 6 programme at Ormonde College of Further Education.

Costs:

Approximately €250 to cover the costs of equipment, materials and examination fees.

Note:

Successful applicants will be required to have access to an SLR camera in order to participate in the Digital Photography module.
