“I took part in the course of youth work because I wanted to know how it is designed here in Ireland: legislation, features of working with youth, services and child protection. I knew it only in Ukrainian perspective because I was a youth worker in Ukraine. To work in youth work field in Kilkenny I decided to apply for the course. I found this course very useful with lots of important information and approaches. I got theoretical knowledge as well as practical. I found very useful to learn relevant legislation, goals, outcomes and approaches in youth work, psychological  theories and case studies. Doing research projects was completely new for me. Our trips to Criminal Court, Secret Valley Wildlife Park and orientation in Castle Park were a completely unique experience. I’m very thankful to all teachers of the course for their professionalism,  patience, clear giving and explaining  all the subjects so I can understand everything even if English is my second language, I felt accepted and cared for. This course is not only about giving us information and practical skills in youth work but also we learned and practiced skills  to be in demand on the labour market and be prepared for the job interviews and all types of communication. I’m very thankful for the opportunity to study Youth Work Course in College of FET Kilkenny.”
